Wow! Nice Pic!

we really had no where to go...whales were coming from all directions but shore. We sat, we fished and we were amazed. There was another guy fishing north of us and it looked like the whales came within 25 yards of him.

holy crap!  I fish there all the time and the closest I've been is 100+ yards or so - that time I had my back to the whale when i heard "whoosh" - talk about having your head on a swivel.  I don't think I'd want to be that close

I was in my 21' boat at Deep Reef when a humpback came up and blew about a foot from the windshield.  I was drifting, setting up a downrigger.  Almost heart failure.  One of the people on Coastside had one comeup under their boat and lift it up some.  PANIC
