Nice to know there are still a few big kings out there.

Tons of bait out here.  With Squid tipped Sabiki I caught some bait just north of the jetty.
Headed south of the jetty across the sandy bottom draging my live bait along the bottom in 15-25 FOW lookin for a halibut.  After a couple hours of drifting multiple agents...bam my rod bent in half and started stripin drag.  My first reaction was oh no a seal as the little sleigh ride began.  A couple minutes later I carefully released a king salmon in the 25#+ range.  It was a gorgeous fish!

No pics.
Met MontanaN8V on the way in.  Always nice to meet more NCKAers.

Congrat on the C&R King and the sleigh ride!  Thank you for the report James.

Great meeting you today James, I had a good time, the fish were not cooperating well though.  Did you see me tow those ladies all the way back in to the beach?  They had NO business that far out in a raft, no PFD's, and they were drunk to boot.  Did get into some sanddabs late in the day, I found them when I was jigging out past that island north of the jetties.  I kept snagging them on my jighead.  I put them on a rig and sent them back down for nada.  I rigged up a line with a lot of hooks and squid strips, and dropped it in, pulled up a bunch of those things, not real big, but a lot of them.  Other than that, not much action.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Sorry, it's just my mainstay here so sounds crazy to call it mythology. Not prodding my NorCal bruddahs whatsoever. Anyone who wants to fish salmon, mi casa es su casa.
