I think the factory bungee cord that criss-crosses the tankwell on the P15 is a total waste and just gets in the way.
The GF wants to keep it there.  :smt011
What do you do?

Remove it completely?
Keep it as it came?
Alter it?

I suppose if you were going to use the tankwell to actually store scuba tanks or other gear then the bungee is useful. But I toss my catch back there and keep tackle boxes back there (freshwater) so I remove the bungee completely so I can easily put things in the tankwell and pull them out while OTW.

I removed all that bungie. Same reasons as Jay.
I have thought that it might help keep big fish in the well, but it's just too much hassle with the plano & game bag & clip.

Funny I have been debating the same thing. I think it get in the way more then helps. I think maybe one cross piece that you can remove may be OK. But I am done with the criss cross...it will make jump, jump. No, it will make you crazy!

Removed as well. The only time it's been useful is when I had a really big fish or need to stash something big for a surf landing.

I unclip the middle portions and put the extra under the rear bungies.  That way the tank well is clear, but on a surf landing, I can bungie over anything in the tankwell.

I've noticed recently that it's a major PITA when throwing the catch back there - the fish get all caught up in the criss-cross bungies. I think I'll try opening the middle section while OTW like e2g is doing. If it still bugs, it's comin' off, but I do like having some kind of strap back there to secure stuff.

I use mine to keep my crate in place by looping the string around the rod holders.

The rest still gets in the way but i slip my fish under it and it keeps the fish out of the way and in the boat. Haven't thought about removing, but now... Maybe

For surf rigging, bungees SUCK. anything heavier than a bilge pump won't survive a surf wipeout if the only restraint is a bungee.

I completely removed it from my boats.  Never found a use for it.  Actually was a great place to snag hooks :smt012
