Well, that didn't take long...

After fishing out of my Malibu Two about a dozen times, and then getting the chance to test drive a T-13, it is clear to me that I'm going to have to get a new boat.

I really enjoyed the T-13, but would like the opportunity to paddle a P-15 for comparison, and while I'm at it a T-15 if possible! I'm not all that big (5'11" 175), so I don't think that any boat's cockpit would pose a problem, or for that matter the "wet" ride of a P-15.

I'm interested in a good paddling boat, reasonably fast, tracks well, handles the open ocean, and some decent storage. (Gotta say I LOVED the rod pod idea, but was slightly less enamored by the floor space it consumed...)

If anyone has one that they would be willing to allow me to paddle for a few minutes on a hook-up, I would be eternally grateful! Does anyone know (Mooch?) what boats are at the Aquan boathouse for demo?

On another note, once I make my decision, I'll likely be looking to sell the Malibu Two, so if anyone has interest, please let me know. I'd also be very interested in working out a trade. (WTTOS - want to trade or sell :smt003)

Thanks!

Kook

I think you will like the P15.  I have one but its not in my possession right now.  You are welcome to try it next time.

I have a P15 and a T15. Hopefully I'll have my P15 at Albion. If you're going you're more than welcome to paddle it for a bit.

Dustin, which one do you like better?
I see you're bringing the P-15 to Albion...
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

I can't really compare the two, since I've only spent about 20 minutes in my T15.

I like the rod pod on the Trident, but I'm comfortable enough on a Prowler to crawl to the front of the boat and stash my rods in the front hatch.

I like the Prowler because it sits lower in the water and just seems more "sleek" to me. The wet ride doesn't bother me since I wear waders.

The Prowler also seems a bit faster to me...but I honestly have not spent enough time in the Trident 15 to judge fairly. Both are pretty comfortable, and I don't really mind the footwells. The T13 is a little more comfy than both the P15 and T15, though.

The main reason I'm hoping to bring the P15 is that I prefer a longer boat when on the ocean, and the fact that it has a sweet fish finder and my T15 doesn't have a fish finder yet. Sean has been pimpin' out the P15 for me and it looks super dope. If it's not ready for Albion then I'll be bringin' the T13...again 'cause it has an FF being the main reason.

Shicken - thanks for the offer!

Rock Hopper - I'm still trying to sort a schedule conflict with Albion, so not sure if I'll make it or not.  :smt009 But if I do, I'll gladly take you up on that. I'm afraid that I won't be able to accumulate a "quiver", so I'm hoping to paddle as many boats as I can before pulling the trigger.
