Dude just spend another 50 and get a humminbird or an Eagle fisheasy.

Both make cheap reliable units and have the backing of customer service......

PB and J lunches for two weeks....it's worth it.

yeah, and with Eagle you get awsome coustomer support, so if anything happens they are really good at replacement.  Plus a fixed unit will have better graphics then that portable fish finder.  If size isn't a huge problem, lowrance and hummingbird both make portable fish finders that are in a box that opens up, however they are 200-300 dollars.  Best bet spend $100 and buy a small Lowrance, Eagle, or Hummingbird(my last choice).

You guys are the experts, thanks for the input.
Looks like PB&Js for a week or two to scape up the extra cash.
I was a little skeptical on it to begin with but I hate fishing blind.

Can you recommend a good place around the mid-peninsula to pick one up?
