I have not seen any in hookups about San Gregorio, is there anyone have tried this place yet? I've fish here so many times on Charter Boats (Queen of Hearts) and do pretty well depending on the month but between July to End of August this is usually productive specially the Halis, I am just wondering why seems nobody is mentioning this spot on hookups, its north of Bean Hollow... why is this spot not being ventures by the Yakers? Is it infested by the Landlord? Maybe? Just wondering on everyone's opinion..

I think BH is just the "go-to" spot in that area and we've done so well there's not much motivation to explore.

But with noticeably fewer big fish coming from there perhaps it's a good time to consider not hitting the same spots over and over...  I'm definitely down for trying San Gregorio!

Yeah, I did San G with my brother 10 years ago, launching in 6 ft swells from the rocks. Stupid, stupid, stupid. And coming in wasn't any fun either.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Darius,

San Gregorio is not infested with the Landlord. There are only a few and they only like to bite WS135's....... :smt003

San Gregorio's one of the trickier places to launch/land

+1   Also, this is one of the few spots I've been chased out of the water by GWS, while surfing/not on the yak. Still, on the right day, completely flat/no swell, if I lived down there I'd give it a go based on Darius's report of scoring good fish on the party boat.

San Gregorio is a favorite spot for sail boarding and kiting for a reason--it usually has big swell, break, and wind--so kayakers go elsewhere.

Don't buy that Mr Greysuit is only at SG--he is every where from there to Año Nuevo and beyond. These sharks circle the entire Pacific according to radio beacons attached to them--they go where they feel like it. He's been eye-balling you every launch at Bean Hollow and you don't even know it. He's the Navy SEAL of fishes--he's there but if you aren't his target you'll never know it. Your kayak just hasn't been on the menu but once in the last few years. Speaking of Dan, is he still on the board or did he give up ocean fishing after that? I'd understand if he did.
