well it was a comedy of errs for me today, got up early and left the house for a day on the water at paradise cove. as i was going south the hiway construction on 101 from windsor to santa rosa was in full swing and got stuck behind the airport shuttle and lost a little time, wanted to make sure i got to loch lomond before kieth opened to make sure i could get shiners. pulled in at 6:30 and the place is open and pretty busy, i see ravensblack and slammer already pulling out on there way, needless to say kieth is out of shiners but says he will have more in an hour. so put the ipod on and have breakfast in the truck. get the shiners and head on my way, pull into the parking lot at paradise and go to open the tail gate and the SOB want open, ok glitch #2 today, not bad can get over it and proceed to get everything rigged up and head to the launch, get to the water and its almost low tide and the place is slick with algea, stormscrambler mentions that a few slipped this mornig and to be careful, start to get the yak in the water with help from a fellow yaker (sorry did not get your name) and proceeded to do the curly shuffle and down goes 235#s of me on the concrete, jumped up feeling dazed and humble, proceed to paddle out, get maybe 200 yds and the pain on every stroke of the left wrist is getting bothersome, so sat awhile and noticed the swelling and decided that the wind coming up and the tide shiffting it was time to call it day. or a half hour :smt003 get back to the launch and its now feeling not so good, its wierd to say but i was hoping that it was broken, because at least then i could have the cast molded around my paddle the way i would have casts in the past wrapped around ski poles when i used to compete, but deep down i knew that something was torn. so got the boat and gear loaded up and headed back to the burg and to the ER. if you happen to get hurt in healdsburg and have to go to the ER there, have no worries, they have the nicest and most caring staff there. well to make a long story short it looks like a tore a bunch of tendon/ligaments and may be out for awhile, will find out when i go to the specialist on wed.hopefully it will not require surgery and i will not have to miss albion. thanks for the good wishes from the crew on the water today, cameron

That's terrible, probably would be best not to strain yourself and allow it to heal.

Heal fast Cam. I slipped on that shit first thing yesterday too. Bent my wrist just a bit. Nothing compared to you though. Not at all. If they power washed that moss off once a week it would help big time. Instead of driving peoples shit around with 2 rangers in the cart.

Get well soon Cameron. Perhaps by the time I get back from my long trip, you are
good to go fishing again. I'd like to try Paradise one more time. If it helps any
take some pain off your wrist, I too fell there at the launch on my last trip.
Thank God my head didn't hit the cement because I fell really hard. My feet just
went under me. :smt011 I wonder if Paradise will ever do anything about the
launch if they know people keeps slipping or maybe not say anything at all cuz
they may band us from using the launch. Catch 22 I guess.
