Prior to launch I advised darius to stow his rods inside.  He was about to launch w/ his rods in the holders.  We then noticed it wasn't possible to stow his rods in the hull by inserting through the front hatch.  The middle of the yak is very shallow due to the pontoon hull design, and the front hatch opening is small.  (ride 135)

I noticed he had bungee paddle keepers on the side, so we strapped them to the side and it was all good.

For the ride 135 owners, any tips on stowing rods for surf launch / landings?

Thanks for putting this one bro!

In the thru the frontt hatch and slide the rod along either side of the yak. Depending on the rod you may have to remove your reel.

Even if you can't put your rod in thru the hatch, remove your reel and strap the rod to your deck. Stow your reel in the hatch. That way if you do take a tumble you won't get sand on and in your reel.
