Looking at that pic all that comes to mind is, "OUCH!! That sucks!!".
Good points brought up by Chuck E and Brian G, sunglasses and barbless hooks.
SO glad it wasn't yor eye.
I might add a good lip gripper helps when dealing with treble hooks.
I love this one. Sturdy enough to get the job done and it floats.

I would have left it in there.  There is a lot of other stupid piercings you see out there, that one is cool and comes with a story.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

watched two very drunk guys on a pier trying to pull a big hook out of the finger.  First they tried to cut it with some crappy shears.  Instead of cutting it just twisted and the guy screamed.  They then shoved it through and ripped his finger.  Finally they poured yukon jack on it.  That was the loudest scream I have ever heard!

good call seeing the pros, they got all the good drugs.

Great pic of the face jewelry. Got one in my eyebrow when I was about 14 - way too close for comfort. Kaiser did a great job taking it out.

Tote, what's the name of that gripper & where do they sell it?

Oh my, that is the worse nightmare!  I have had lures zing past me and have not enjoyed it!  Let's see the after shot with scar?  Luckily for men it just adds charachter and makes you that much more appealing to the opposite sex!

DUDE! That is a classic story and even better photo! I've noticed your avatar but didn't read this story until now...and it clicked! Good job getting that R-Trap out, even if you had to see the Doc--don't worry, we won't give ya too much crap about that.

Hey it coulda been worse, right?
About 7 years ago, I was shore fishing at Commanche w/a friend. He wanted to walk down the bank, so he put some lures into his shorts pocket and started walking. He yelled out that there were some bass in the next cove so I walked down to join him.
While attempting to get a better casting angle, he jumped up onto a rock. Mid-jump he screams like a cat in heat that just got runover by a semi!!!
Unfortunately, the broken-back Rapala in his pocket hooked him. The rear treble was stuck deep into the inside of his thigh....and the front treble was stuck in his ummmm, how you say....nutsack.
I'm still not sure who had it worse...him w/the hooks or me having to remove the hooks. Dude!
Just glad I had some sharp pliers!

That's another reason why I never use treble hooks. Too many chances to hook yourself.
