Hit em hard at a secret spot this morning... Had my limit by 7 am on poppers on the surface.. 8 and 12 lbs and a couple more C and R skoolies... The trick was to wear a wetsuit then wade in the surf up above the hips so you could cast out beyond the breakers. Hope thats enough info for those of you who wined about my secret seabass spot post... lol...  Pics should be up on the capitola boats page later today, or maybe I'll post a few of my own.  :smt003

Amen, glad you found some stripers in that area. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics but a text report is good enough for me!

Nice to see a Monterey Bay report. I was out last night and I caught 4. One was a diaper dandy at 15 inches the others were cookie cutters at 29 inches. I use waders and only wade to my knees. I weight my popers down and use 10 pound line, so I can get out. I had a really good spot about a month ago, but now people are breaking into cars in that area so I have had to find some new ones.  I have been hearing that there are alot of fish south of where I have been fishing, but it is way too crowded for me, so I am kind of fishing some spots of the beaden path.
