I was headed up to fish Humboldt-land tomorrow, but I ran into a friend that told me the bite was WFO on lings and reds off Cape Viscaino.  That's the place north of fort bragg where highway one goes inland at Hardy Creek.

So I'm headed there tomorrow.  The place is great fishing but a bitch to put in.  There's a 100 foot really steep embankment off the highway that you must get your boat down.  The locals have attached a rope to the highway guardrail post, which you use to skid your boat down the bank.  On the way up, you tie the rope to your trailer hitch and pull the MF-er back up.

Last minute and all that but I'll be there at 0900 if you're interested.  The Highway 1 pull-off at Hardy Creek.

Oh, and it's totally flat right now.

Man, Dave, I'm burnt from two recent trips and 4th of July festivities or I'd be on that in a heartbeat.  Sounds like a great trip.  Good luck and have fun.   :smt001
