I have 4 or 5 spots left.This is a basic one day class with pool and open fresh water instruction. Read the flyer and let me know if you want to reserve a spot. It's only 25 dollars and should be fun. You can read the instructors credentials on his site listed below. First come first served. There will only be 8 students.This would perfect for you Jed. 



For:   anyone interested in learning to Skin Dive.

Skin Diving is also known as: snorkeling, free diving, and breath-hold diving.

What:  Skin Diving is fun, easy, and great exercise. Skin
Diving is very popular with abalone hunters, spearfishermen; and  for sight-seeing in many warm-water vacation destinations.

Class covers:
•   Basic Diving Physics: buoyancy and equalizing your ears and sinuses
•   Skin Diving equipment
•   Dive Skills (in water training)
•   Self & Buddy Rescue / Skin Diver Rescue
•   Pool and Open Water training

When: Saturday, August 15, 2009 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Where: Morning session starts at 8:00 a.m. at
        ‘The Swimstitute, 11335-B Folsom Bl. (JEO
              Sunrise Bl., next door to ‘The Granite Arch’)

Cost:    $ 25.00 per person.
Overview:

   This is a one-day course. Class starts at 8:00 a.m.
   at the pool. We will break for lunch around 11:30.

   After lunch, we will resume training at a local lake
        for the Open Water portion of the class.

   Class should be completed by 4:00 p.m.

   Students will need to bring:

      mask, fins, snorkel, & booties for the pool
                session.

Westuit, hood, and gloves HIGHLY recommended for the Open Water session in the afternoon.

Instructor will provide weights and weight belts.

The pool is in Rancho Cordova 13feet deep. Open water will be Natoma or Folsom.

Jedmo,

Are you doing any fishing in the Philippines?  If you are let us know where to catch the big ones.  I went to Nasugbu, Batangas last February and was dissapointed on how small the fishes we were able to catch.  Just threw them back.
