Another hot day on the delta and still trying to learn tidal water fishing for black bass.  Caught two fish one at 14 inches (inside the tullies) and a 18 and half that I caught after weight in time.  Sure is hard working while moving slow between tides catching black bass in the delta.  Congrats to the winners and the folks that won prize.  Thanks Eric & Fisherman's Warehouse for making this event happen.

Wish I could say "cool" day OTW  :smt003  I have only 2 words for the day: HOT & skunk! Beside that I had a good time "hunting" for black bass and met new NCKA'ers.  Thank you Pat for the lures and fishing tips, at least you didn't get skunked  :smt003  Thank you Al for the rod holders, and most of all thank you Eric for putting this annual event together!

It was great to see everyone out there, big crowd.  Congratulations to the winners.  Eric puts on a first class event.  I really enjoyed getting out there and trying to stick a big one with the fella's, but I could only manage three small bass 12 to 15 inches.  Yester, too bad you didn't get that fish before the check-in.  Maybe next time.

Congrats to the winners. The 1st place looks like Michael but not sure.
The picture looks a little blurry. Anyhow it seemed I have missed a great
event. Thanks Sonny for never failing to share some cool pictures of
everybody. Sorry no LMB for you bro.

Great event, Thanks Eric!  :smt006

Theresa and I had a great time even though it was super hot. I caught 3 dink fish starting with a 12" then a 10" then an 8". Fishing was SLOW, perhaps some of the worst LMB fishing I have ever had. But, Theresa caught and landed her first LMB after it took her senko, ran into the weeds, and forced Theresa to paddle over to it and untangle it in order to land it. We're making her into quite the fisherman!

Sorry no pics, our camera is broken.  :smt013 We were able to verify that it is the camera and not the battery thank to Iroelikethat letting us use his battery for the test. Looks like it's time to contact Pentax and see about repair  :smt011

What a tough day out there.  Hot and a really slow bite to boot.  They didn't want the frog or any of the usual offerings.  I wound up with 3 little guys.  My best went 16.5", unbelievably good enough for 2nd place.  It came on a lipless crank worked along the riprap.  A direct result of lots of fishing with HobieBlue and one of his favorite methods (cranking).  Thanks to Eric and Fisherman's Warehouse for putting the event on.  Always a good time and very nice to meet some more of the NCKA group.  Stick with the delta guys, it's not always this tough!  It can be awesome on days and very humbling and frustrating others.....

Eric - thanks so much!  Great events with the tournaments, awards, BBQ, hanging out - much appreciated.

Congrats to the winners.  Great seeing folks and meeting some new folks.  Threw everything I had at 'em for one dink early.  Ran into some light, sporadic topwater feeding around 1100 - threw the shad rap and picked-up a 13.5" LMB and 15" and 13" stripers.  Looking forward to getting back on the Delta, when it's a little cooler.
