And if you're in town you can use my Drifter anytime.  In fact, I think I'll name him The Gambler in your honor.

Alright alright, look, I'm British remember, emotionally uptight, stiff upper lip and all that. Let's not be saying our goodbyes just yet, I'm still in denial  :smt010.

.....come on over to Paradise/Tiburon for a last chance Butt hunt.

It looks like I'm gonna have to! Surely someone out there would rather catch midget gophers in rolling seas? Hey, I even caught a Ling at HMB once. And a cabezon. On the same day. What more could you want? Plus there's Gorilla BBQ on the drive back. The WX really isn't that bad!!

Those conditions look fine to me. If HMB was a little closer to home I'd be there with ya!

8' swells are nothing as long as they're spaced out enough.

Hi Phil,

It's my pleasure to know and fish with you.   If you change your mind sometime today and going to Paradise on Saturday, I'll bring some special dishes and organize a farewell pot luck for you.

before your head over to the reef, sit back and observe for a while.  Find out where/when you get  breakers.

I would join ya but I'll be in Miami.

Phil,
You are a class act (that goes with the name) and it was fun fishing big sur with you (between chums) I wish I could make it to enjoy your last outing here with you. I have to be at a wedding also. I know you will keep us all posted on how you are doing. I feel this will NOT be your last chance to fish with us here. I am sure you will be back. I know you will always be able to find a yak in these parts to use when ever you do visit. I won't say goodbye. I'll say till we hook up again... Health, Peace and abundance be with you and yours;

Dang it, Shicken was my big hope.

Alright, Paradise it is!

No potluck unfortunately; I have to be off the water by 1pm at the very very latest. And I want to spend every last second on it! Even tho' I'll be fishing for halibut..........which don't actually exist  :smt011

Phil,

Sorry I won't be able to fish with you on your last outing here, but I will be out of town. It was great meeting you for the first time last week and fishing with you at Paradise. Good luck getting that halibut and best of luck to you and the wife on your future endeavors.

"On the same day. What more could you want? Plus there's Gorilla BBQ on the drive back. The WX really isn't that bad!!"

My wife about jumped out of the car when she saw the Gorilla BBQ on our drive back from Linda Mar a few weeks ago!  :smt044 She was pissed I didn't pull over, but the line was down the block. I told her,"Next Time" and she just proceeded to mock me. I know where I am going the "Next Time" I am down there.

Take Care,
Ray

Take care Phil. It was a pleasure fishing with you and Lady at Stillwater North last summer. Send us a post from time to time.

Frank
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Nice meeting you at Shelter Cove, NB. Best wishes to you and your lady.
