If you don't know me, let me re-introduce myself!
My name is Michelle and I work for the local Red Cross in Fresno.
I've been working closely with a local news station (KMPH) and we are going to be doing a 5 hour segment on Kayak Fishing/Safety/Fishing Safety/Self-Rescue, etc.

YakHopper (Eric), is helping me out a great deal and I'm looking for any other volunteers who would like to demo (including myself) self-rescue, being safe in the wilderness and other safety techniques.

Please be aware that you will be representing the American Red Cross, so professionalism is key, however, the "talent" that will be interviewing is definately hands on and a jokester - and guaranteed fun times!

If you want to check out shots from the past, check out the ones with "Clayton Clark" here:

Details:
July 20th, 2009
5AM - 10AM (yes, AM AM AM AM)
Millerton Lake, Fresno, CA

If you don't feel comfortable ON tv, you could always paddle around in the background - and there is great fishing ;)

Thanks in advance - I'm really excited to get others into the madness, in a safe way!  :smt003

It's LIVE
Sorry, I forgot to mention that!  hence professionalism, we can't edit things out!
I will say that as terrifying as LIVE sounds, he makes it really easy and comfortable.  And he will be in a kayak doing everything that we do... so it's really a fun time!   :smt005

Well, I created that website for my family, since they can't see it live (they live in Stockton).... so it was bad quality, I recorded the shot that I Tivo'd onto my camera.  They usually put the shots on their website.  It's www.kmph.com
It's under Great Day, and "Catch Clayton" - you can see some of his clips!

Wow 5 whole hours?!?!?  How do you plan on filling all that time?!?

Suggestion, you could come film the MBK Kayak Safety class on the 11th for some additional footage  :smt003

Will we be able to view the broadcast??  From our desks at work?  :smt044

A whole 5 hours - it's throughout their morning show - about 8 live shots total.  I'd say a total run time of.... an hour max?

I wish I could have them film that, but they have to stay in this area  :smt012

I will Tivo and record ghetto-style like the website above but part will also be on their website.  I don't think they have streaming video - but I'll ask Clayton.  :smt003
