moke river salmon

I got the report that just about every boat out this weekend had at least 1 fish. The run is on. I am headed out friday morning.

Roughly, when and where on the moke are you planning on?

I really want to go, but it won't be until thursday night that I will know if I can get friday off from work.

BrainG, are you planning to use your kayak or your motor boat?
Can you please post directions to the launch?
I may try to join you.

I want to kayak cause I need the exercise. I'll post directions in a hour or so. I will have plenty of the trolling lures and spinners for 3 or 4 people. Free to borrow just replace if lost. Bring some small gibbs minnows for the jigging. Also maybe some rebels for striper plugging too.

can you keep 3 salmon in that river?

I am 99% sure it is two fish. I will double check.

BrianG, thanks for posting the directions to the launch, but I won't be able to join you guys this time.  Good luck and let us know how you do... because I still want to try Moke for salmon.

IF anyone decides to join me give me a call. (209) 334 - 3199. I think that I might launch at the BW marina and try to do a combo striper/salmon trip if no one calls to join me.

Dude Brian,
Where's the fish report?  How did you do?

I was down in the area today kayaking in the Cosumnes River Preserve with my folks (pretty sweet by the way ... highly recommended).  I drove over the Moke and saw a bunch of people fishing for salmon.  I am thinking of going back tomorrow, but this time to fish.  I may just do the Sac tomorrow, but would like to know the results of your trip on Friday.
