New angler on board.... need some advice/opinions

           I be live the Basic Std. for Kayak Fishing is the Scupper Pro.
The Scupper Pro is Fast, Light and Easy on the Pocket Book.
           Try the Pro first then compare it with the rest. I caught
of fist Big Butt on a Scupper Pro. So many Yaks, sooo little time!

Anybody know which is faster? the T15 or the tarpon 160? I am starting to lean more towards the t15 now, but if its sluggish that might be a deal breaker

It is not sluggish at all, though most I think would say the 160 is slightly faster.

No traps used for the crawdads.  I just pick them up with my hands from the rice or wheat fields once they start to drain late in the summer.  Be safe

The Tarpon 160 is definitely faster than a Trident 15.  At least, as far as getting up to speed and maintaining that speed is concerned.

Any opinions on the native ultimate 14.5? I understand that this would be an awful kayak on the ocean, but for calmer waters it might be pretty decent. Looks expensive and accessories would be harder to make, you would prolly have to buy the pricey ones they sell.... I like the extra pack space though, and the ability to ride tandem

t160 is a great kayak good on everything short of white water

If you can get an older one with old-style hatches you can fit everything inside Makes the launch/land easier and save you a lot of $ on garage sales

a rudder is good too
