Big wind. No fish. Lots of bait in the water. The highlight of the day was seeing 2 kings roll on the surface and I saw a 5ft sturgeon completely go airborne with a huge splash. Drifted live shiners for 4 hours and then pulled the plug at noon for Fathers Day festivities.

It was a great day on the water even though the bit was not on. Two Hali's landed and I lost mine at the boat, (#&$&%^) net. I think Dave got some pics of the fight. Redyak got a stripper and and Chad a nice Hali.
The wind was gusty and just enough to be a pain in the rump at times.
Nice meeting some of the NCKAer's that I only know by screen name.
Do it again soon.   William102

Congrat to a few of us who caught Hali today

Nice boat

When I left the park, there're still lots of people fishing from the pier

0 for 5 on the halibut but I did catch my first fish/ not stripper in the bay today. Released to grow bigger. Here's a pic of Will's dainty net.William and I are both picking up bigger nets before the next outing. A pic of Chevroletdayze continuing his catching streak. I got decent video of him fighting and landing this one but am clueless on how to post it. WTG to Chad and Kiel. Sonny/Sailfish was still out when we left. He fishes really hard. Talked to the DFG guy checking the pier fisherman's catch and he said only one striper and one halibut were caught. Saw them pulling up multiple bat rays though. Of course it was great to meet everybody today. See you next time. jim     Oh yeah, congrats to Darius on the new yak and welcome to NCKA.

Better luck next time Craig. Just be thankful you don't have my long streak of not
catching any halibut.

Good to see Kiel and Dave with their halibut. If I am not mistaken, Darius looks like
he was having more fun paddling than fishing. :smt044

Thanks Sonny for always taking some awesome pictures. Your timing is always
right on.
