Hey there,

Is anyone thinking of heading out to ARW tommorrow? I will most likely be there early, around 6:30 am, and hopefully the weather/wind will be decent. Ill check this post in the morning to see who else might show. I will be in a blue hobie, no radio, and using anchovies.

cheers,

Geoff

Sorry for the delayed response.

I met up with another NCKA member (Lucky 13) out there by chance as I rolled up. We worked the area and Ernest was able to point out all of the deep holes with his FF and charts, which was very helpful. I only landed a shark, and a nearby dinghy caught a nice sized halibut. We drifted over every hole without hookup. Also we were using frozen anchovies. The weather was absolutely phenominal, placid at times with random current change ups, and sudden five minute lasting, intermittent wind gusts here and there.  All and all a beautiful day to fish.

I went out yesterday with live bait as well, and caught a few more sharks, no halibut. I watched shore pluggers with hairraisers hook up on a few keepers though. Ill definately be going out again soon to try again for darn kayak caught Hali.

As for the Hobie, its like a dream, I am soooo happy with it.

Cheers,

Geoff
