Where is everyone....napping?????

Thanks to Bill's encouragement, Randy, Dave, Brian and I (and Bill too) had a modestly successful day trolling and casting for stripers.  Everyone caught something.....if you count my bass.  Randy suggested that we have a bass tournament so that maybe I'll catch a striper...... :smt013

The day began windy, got nice, got lashing and the light came on, and then became glassy.........as we packed it in........ :smt012

I look forward to trying it again.

Thanks for the support everyone, you all helped make it a great day.

BTW, I just finished my nap :smt015

If anyone is thinking about going, this number 800-805-4805 has a recorded message of the weather and wind conditions. Although I wonder how specific it is to the fore bay seeing how the red light only came on once the wind calmed down.

Yeah Pat I was napping  :smt016

I think everyone caught the same 15" striper, I caught mine first trolling a rattle trap next to the weeds. Dave had a nice one on near the power islands that broke off. I think it is going to bust wide open in the next few weeks.

Fun fishing with you guys.  Brian, being closest, I expect you to hit Oneill each weekend and tell us when it really heats up.

Got to love the stripes on these fish.  This one looks like it has a              '----cut on dotted line----' down the middle!!

Nice pic Dave.

Thanks for the advice Saturday.  I will definitely post a report next time I get back there.

I'm torn between Oneil where there are fish ready to be caught and the delta (San Joaquin River) where there might be salmon and migrating Strippers :smt003 .
