Hit the lake a little late at about 9:30 am. Wasn't expecting much with the lake being on the no-stock list and also the huge storms that were expected to come in that afternoon. Trolled around the lake twice trying a few different things. Didn't mark barely any fish. Played with the downrigger a little, even though I knew it wouldn't produce. I parked the yak at the dam and tried the creek coming out of it, which usually produces some small brookies on flies for me, but the creek had no fish. The wind picked up around 11 and I got off the water. There was still some snow around the lake. I also saw 2 bald eagles which was cool to see. Ran into some yakers just launching as I pulled out. I think they said they were from the Madera area.

Nice report Jeff. Where is your grandmother? I figured you would have yourself a kayak fishing buddy with her. I was wondering how the fishing would be there without them stocking this year. I guess Stacey the kids and I will just have fun paddling around when we go this summer. I see you have a fish finder on that yak now. Take care and keep having fun.

Nice vid - that's a pretty spot.  Looks like you had the place to yourself.   :smt001
