Hi everyone....
first and last time I fished on a yak ever was with flyaker and baddog(?)..

they turned me onto NCKA and thru this site I was able to find 2 Ocean Kayaks via the classified search..(thanks again Bill)

anyway, i am a newbie so I have a lot to learn from you vets...particularly on yak rigging.
I have a Malibu II tandem..went with this yak since I use it a lot for family events..although there are better platforms out there, I will need to make the best with what I got..
I am trading speed for space and stability.
so I am hoping to get some ideas from you all.
so far I have my compulsary milk crate..its rectangular..and my soft cooler bag to which I will fasten my 2"pvc tubes.

bought a rivet gun from Home Depot last night and am debating whether I should go with flush mount rod holders or mount rod holders to crate....
anyway..I look fwd to meeting you guys and getting your tips.

I will be in the mango colored OK tandem.

Weather looks like it will be warm on Sunday so bring lots of sunscreen.
Also just confirmed with linda and she agreed that there is no launch fee (for Kayaks) and she will not charge for parking either. Only fee will be for a campsite if you chose to do so.
We have a total of 40 anglers so far and we still have 4 days to go so call your friends and get them into this great sport as this is a great place for the newbe.

Eric B doesn't know what he is talking about. There are no 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 pound bass anywhere near the launch. No such thing as big bass at Tiki.

Man I wish I could be there with you guys. I had originally planned to go but will now be in Tahoe celebrating my Aunt and Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. Good luck to all and be safe around all those screaming bass boats.

Since it will be my first time fishing the delta from yak, went ahead and decided to make a weekend trip out of it.    Will be camping at Tiki, Aspen 3, arriving Friday around 8PM, fishing Sat. and leaving after tourney! 

Al If there Is room Can I Piggyback that spot? maybe even caravan or carpool it? pm me
