sorry jedmo, no camera no pic.  the tube is exactly 18" diameter.  3foot long pvc with two polyrope handles.  if you guys end up making your own you may want to get a larger diameter.  some of those clams go down slightly angled.  also a little longer.  the big ones are frustratingly out of reach with a 3 foot tube.

you may want to call lawsons landing bait shop to see if they still carry them.

andy.

Hi Andy,

Can you double check your tube dimensions?  I just called the bait shop and spoke to a lady there and she said the only tube they sell is 12" in dia., 30" in length, and the price is $35. Below is the contact #:
137 Marine View Dr, Dillon Beach, CA‎ - (707) 878-2443‎.

We got enough people committed to buy the whole 20' pipe so we'll go out and get it next week.  If you know some places that we can get for better price (cheap  :smt003) before then and not too far from the bay area, we'll appreciated the information.

Sonny my buddy is out of Town until Monday and I will get you prices then I stopped by the yard todayand it looks like he has a bunch of odd lengths. you want 18" right.

Yes, we want the tube diameter between 16" - 20" (whichever available & cost less) and between 3' - 4' long each.   Really appreciated your time and effort.

Nice...now all you need is a PVC tube  :smt003  I found a place to buy a 18" dia. PVC for about $20 a foot.  If we can get 6 people to pitch-in then we can buy a 20' pipe and cut it ourselves to save the cutting fee of $15 a cut.  So far I got you and Allen so we need 3 more people.  The cost will be around $60 each tax included.
I'd take one of those tube, I live in benicia as well if it works out.

Hi Mark,

Right now we already got 6 committed buyers.  If anyone in this pool back-out then you can have his piece or if you can find 5 more people interested I'll be happy to show you the place to buy.  In the mean time if you want to go clamming with us, you can use my tube, or you borrow mine if I can't go.

Sonny

hey jedmo,
if you are going for clamming on sun and don't have a tube yet, you can borrow mine.  i bought it from the LL bait shop.  it's a bit narrow, but you can give it a try.
