I got on the water out of Paradise Kay around 9 and thought I would drift out to Paradise park with the outgo.I set up rig with a 6 inch  or 8 flasher above my 3 waywith a4 oz green and white  jig as weight and alive shinner .I had never used this set up it looked like it whould do damage.I was about 1/2 mile east of pilings in 30 ft when my pole bent hard ,I let the fish take it and slowlybroughtup the pole to have line peel of like crazy a quick  little set to makesure and it was on!After reading what Chuck describe about Hali head shakes Iwas prety sure what i had.He towed me out for about 10 minutes, then I saw this  mass and began to worry.I gaffed him around his gills and he didnt like that.I managed to get game clip on then I took my fish be good stick to him, hegot verry mad! Icould not belive the size .He hit  the jig and measured out 46 1/2 inches. It took me awhile to get to the park so no way to padleback to the kay until tide changed,so I had my friend get me.

I would have liked to have seen your eyes when you saw color...
