Just got back from 2 days of shad fishing, and I gotta' say, it's as fun as I remember it!
Caught lots, saw some big stripers, some T&A on the river bars, drank beer.
I'm going back soon!

You're a fishing stud, Juan.  Cool shad pics.  (I want the T&A report too!)   :smt001

9.5 foot spin rod,, 4 lb test, 1/32 oz head. Champagne colors.
I didn't keep any. Would make good crab bait though.
The T&A is for the mental camera, not the Optio.

Nice shad!

Which access is that? Rossmore or Sunrise or something completely different.

Thanks!

Nice job Juan... I wish I'd have known you were out here. I could've played hookie and joined you for a bit. I love this time of the year around the river... the hotter it gets, the more you can see... If you know what I mean???

those shad looks pretty large.  i was thinking something like a 12-14" but some of those pics look closer to 18-20" with some thick shoulders.  nice outing

Love the partial shots and i'll try to see what you saw, by closing my eyes tightly.

Yakuza, the hens are in! They were nice and big. I broke fish off twice using Maxima #4 Ultragreen.
Adam, there were bugs but none of the stinging kind.
Like i said, I'm going back when I can.
