According to the timer i have lurked here for just over 6 hours
Guess it is time i contribute
Heres me Trident
I am 6'-4" 240lbs, and she suits me fine, nice dry ride and stable with a good glide, easy to paddle, wouldnt trade for anything else... well maybe a hobie on certain days :smt003

So heres a history of my Trident (got her new in 2008 when they first came out)

I had put one ram tube on originally and noticed that the deck flexed when there was any load on the tube, made me nervous so this is my fix:

made some patterns...and cut some 1/4" aluminum plate for backing, painted them with plastic coating paint and installed with stainless harware. what a difference... no fear now

also did a little mod on the rod pod used a black cutting board, cut to shape, and installed with "shoulder bolts" (flush on both sides.) thinking about using the pod cover for mounting...not sure now, but the cutting board does stiffen the lid up and now i will add the strap to the front to help hold it down better during launches.
also ended up with the Shimano bait tank...
couple of other views:

And here are some upgrades I did recently:
The Thru scupper transducer; I got tired of the way it slowed down water from draining out the scupper, so I took it out, drilled holes in the nut, and drilled the block underneath to resemble swiss cheese... we will see how it works now
before:

I also moved where the wire entered the hull, and finally installed the compass that i have had for over a year, made a snazy little bezel out of some aluminum plate to better protect the compass and add some stiffness to that area
After:

I added 2 more flush mounts to the rear behind the seat:
Before:

After:

Cleaned up the wiring after all the work:

And I added a scotty flush mount:

Thats about it for now
I have a couple more ideas... we'll see

Nice boat and clean rigging. I love how the Shimano bag blends in with the yak. Where are you from?

I have a T-15 also and you are sic. Thats a sweet way everything is set-up. The plates look real nice. I was going to mount the ball mounts in the place you did but the strech was way much for me. I ended up installing them between the cover for theFF and the rod pod cover. a bit tight?Yes but it works with the plstic ram tubes just fine.Did you put a 7 series Ff on your yak. With GPS it looks like. Sweet!

How do you like that Shimano bait tank?

So far so good,
When they first came out,
I found one in my local tackle shop,
the Shimano rep. had just dropped them off.
I went ahead and bought it, wasn't cheap at the time (they have come down in price) but after dropping the cash down I went home and 15 minutes latter I had a new bait tank...
After about a year now my review would be this:
1. the switch it came with lasted a very short time (replaced with a waterproof one)
2. when it is loaded with 3 or 4 Rods and heavier reels the tank flexes a bit... be sure to strapped it down good.
3. With a 6 volt battery it pumps all day and then some.
4. I moved the location of the switch to the top center of the battery bag so it didnt keep getting hit by the side of the tank well on the Trident

so overall i would give a "B"
but In hind site i would just bye the bag and forget the accessories package, and purchase the rod holders, pump, etc on your own

Hope that helps
again thanks, and great site you have here
Don

I like the Compass site / idea. What model compass and where did you buy it?

Thanks
