Thanks sanperpe for posting this. I just placed my order. Now I can finally give my back a break from lugging my kayak to the water. Another prime example of the NCKA brotherhood looking out for everyone's best interest and sharing great deals.

Thanks,
Ray

Picked mine up at the local WM yesterday. They came with the new/crappy wheels. So I performed a short test to see how they handled. Loaded up my kayak and left it on there (outside in the sun+then cold fog) all day. No sign of deflation at all. Maybe they fixed the problem with the new/crappy wheels?

IMO, I wouldn't chance it and make a fuss with either WM or Wheelez.  Obviously that isn't what is pictured on their site, or is it?

I'd hate for them to fail you when you need 'em the most.

Mine worked great for 6 months then they saw the Elk hill and gave up.
The cart with the PVC Wheels should be $60 cheaper that's the price diff from the Poly wheels

Well this is discouraging. I should be able to pick mine up tomorrow. I am hoping for the best. I would hate to spend all that money for crap, especially after I convince the wife I needed them and spent some valuable WAF points.

OK, I just picked up my Roleez Cart from WM this afternoon and it looks different than the picture on their website. I have included pictures of what I received. This is my first kayak cart so I am not sure what problems there are with the different wheel types, so I hope these hold up. Sin Coast mentioned new/crappy wheels. Do these appear to be the new/crappy wheels? I hope not. I would hate for this thing to fail me.

Thanks for your input guys,
Ray

they do appear to be the "new, crappy wheels"  as to whether they are truly crappy you will likely soon find out.

I'm stuck on the idea of maybe not being able to stow it in the hatch of mt T160i -- if i knew it would fit I'd buy it in a NY minute -- otherwise I'll stick with my homemade rig.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks

Ben

Ben I stick the wheels in my front hatch of my T160i then the frame I stick under the factory bungie straps in front on hatch. The frame doesn't get in my way at all. I'm still able to access the hatch and stow a rod if needed to. Here's some photos.

Ray, those are the ones that caused an NCKA protest last year and resulted in a mass (NCKA) swap-out to get the good wheels. Like Wheeleez, West Marine did not advertise the correct picture but don't know if it was intentional. I've never seen the bad ones advertised in a picture.

Ariel - That is what I was looking at the other day for storage. It looked like the best solution.

Hojoman - What are the issues with these wheels. Do they just deflate over time or fail all together while in use? Thanks for your input. I was a bit disappointed when I received these as they were not the ones pictured.

Yes, and yes!  NCKA'rs have experienced both of these situations.

They also cut really easy Dave hit a sharp rock or something coming down the Elk hill and had a huge gash.

Thanks alot guys for all the feedback. I am convinced I need to send these back and get the ones without tread. I assume the ones without tread are the polyurethane wheels whereas these are the PVC wheels. I looked on Hook1's website and they are selling them for $185.99. I have a code to get 10% off through them, so I may just go that route. I need to email Karen first to make sure the picture matches what is being sold and it isn't another bait and switch like Marine West.

Thanks again,
Ray

Karen is aware of the problem. I told her last August when picking up some gear from her at her business.
