Anyone ever replaced the "bulb" on one of these? I've looked on the web but have no idea what the correct part would be. Then again, maybe something else is wrong with it (yes, I put in a new battery) - seems to be a simple flashlight mechanism, though.

If you've dealt with one of these, let me know. I'm thinking it might not even be worth putting any effort into it but I like to try fixing things before buying new ones. The one I have seems to be a cheap knock-off; can't find a mfr name on it anywhere...

Not familiar with your light but with past experience with dive lights I would check and clean all contacts and terminals. Probably brass might need to scuff them up to remove any oxidation or corrosion. Won't cost anything to do this.

A pencil eraser works great for the contacts.

You might also want to check the bulb with a meter for continuity just to make sure it is a bad bulb.

Thanks for the advice. The one I have is a cheapy & turns out that a wire came off its solder point. I'll fix it eventually to keep as a backup, but my feeling is it's best not to go cheap with safety equipment.
