So what is the water temp there at ARW?
I'm not sure, but it has warmed up in the last 2 weeks. i would guess around 55, up from 50. It isn't quite at "summer temps"
I hate to contradict anything that Duane or Ariel says, but please do remember he is called INSANEduane, and Ariel is a big boy with a bunch of "thermal inertia"(a completely unscientific term i just made up). Both of these guys paddle a lot. 10 to 15 mi on an average day hali fishing. They are both tough as nails (or too dumb to know when they are cold  :smt005:smt044 :smt044 :smt005, {please note emoticons}). So what I'm getting at is dress to your own personal comfort level.Personally Id rather be too warm than too cold. Like Duane said, its gonna be a cooker, but we are off the water by 1pm. i may just wear shorts (i definitely fall into the category of too dumb to know when I'm cold :smt044), but more likely a wetsuit, rolled down to my waist. If it gets hot a cup of water cools you off.

It should be a nice hot day, but if the wind kicks up it can get chilly regardless.  I will wear shorts/tshirt but will have a drytop on board just in case.

Mr. Bluejeans... need something picked up... pm me. I'll be in the Bay Area this weekend and back up in Folsom on Wed or Thurs.

Freddie

Sorry for the muliple posts here, but just as a P.S.A. to anyone unfamiliar with this area, please be aware that the ramp is notoriously slippery at low tide.

BAD NEWS ABOUT LIVE BAIT AVAILABILITY. just went past mikes bait. perfect storm of good weather, good tides, the OP tourney short supply and high demand. He says there is almost zero chance of  him having live stuff tomorrow!

Yep, I checked there today too. I also spent about two hours chumming the water and throwing a cast net at Berkeley Pier today for ZERO bait. Nobody on the pier was catching any live bait, but there was one 31" halibut on the deck. Slow day overall. Looks like I'll be drifting dead chovies and swim baits.

Not sure when it actually opens bot I will try to be there by 6:00am and get set up as soon as poss. If I'm a little late please be patient as I am coming in from Fresno. As soon as I get a waiver filled out feel free to start fishing.
F.Y.I. Due to the large amount of participants it would be nice if we could help clean up the area a little and leave it better than when we get there (Good Karma)
Thanks,
Eric

Theresa and I have some friends in town and they are interested in the kayaking event tomorrow. Is there anybody that could provide a spare kayak and paddle? These folks are experienced paddlers, but won't be fishing. If you can help out that would be fabulous.
Thanks NCKA  :smt006

One other thing, a tandem would be ideal. One of our friends is legally blind and would be interested in paddling out with one of our experienced friends. I know this is totally last minute, but if you can help out that would be great!
