Sorry late report

Had to do WAF duties in the morning so it threw my plans to go fish Stillwater. After doing what I had to do I decided to go give Chabot a try. Hit the lake around 10am. Trolled from launch to Indian Cove bumped into fellow kayaker in yellow yak named "fishinhank" on board. He 2 or 3 trout total.

Fished the tullies for 5 bass in the 13" to 14" range. One of the bass had a tag EBRPD #6276. All caught on senkos.

Had one trout today that hit my Firetiger J7 around 5pm. Lots of life on the topwater around that time. The surface was calm like a swimming pool and trout were hitting bugs on the surface. Managed a 19-3/4" bow. Called it a day after that.

Andy I just wrote down the number, length, and area caught on the back of my Chabot fishing permit and gave it to the guy in the tackle shop.

WTG on the trout Ariel. Now that you have that monkey off your back, let us go

i saw you on the lake that day, i did not really know it was you until i saw your truck on the way out.  i was hiking, the whole circumference of the lake-9 miles.  they weather was unusual.  i came across 3 large salamanders, brown on top, orange on the bottom. they have many tadpoles in the swampy creek. can anyone identify these salamanders?

What's up with you and tagged fish?  I've never caught one that had a tag...

Nice catching out there!  Keep up the great reports.

Nice work Ariel!

KF:

Most likely California Newts (Coast Range) kind

Wash your hands good if you handle them, super toxic, not good bait!

WTG!!! Good looking fish! Sounds like a fun trip. As for the salamanders, it sounds like Curly Moe and Larry  :smt044
