Azteckayak made the 10 hour drive for a few days of prowling around in the shallow waters of the clear lady. We really needed another 4 feet of water to fish all of the favorite haunts and the winds limited us to fishing protected waters.  We were still able to get on alot of fish but conditions were tough and we had to work for them.
4/22 konocti bay and headed south
4/23 braitos backwater to ,and around, anderson island then over to the buckingham docks
4/24 konocti bay and headed north to frazier point
4/25 state park south and into soda bay then kelsey creek and back to konocti bay(night fishing)
4/26 soda bay docks and warm springs then again back home to konocti bay(night fishing)

Most of our success was fishing the docks in the protected coves.
There is excellent viz for sight fishing in the south and the warmer shallower north is stained except around the creeks.
The northend creeks are full of fish but they are seeing alot of pressure from basscar who was also looking for cover.
If you are fishing soda bay dont forget that there is a great restaurant on the water called Zino's. Outdoor tables and kayak friendly. They also have rooms and has a easy launch with great fishing in kayak range.
We did some night ops but cold winds made things very challenging.
We spotted both pre and post spawn fish around different areas its just the wind and cold temps that are making it tough up here.

We let a WW paddler who hadnt fished in years, and never from a kayak, tag along for a trip out of RP. Set him up with a team of agents and Shirks T160 and off we went.
Last time I had paddled with Bernie we were riding waves at Big River where he had a pretty rough day, this adventure also had us paddling with rain, gusting wind, and big chop but when Bernie starting hooking into fish the smile was all the proof we needed to confirm that another victim has caught the madness.

We didnt find the monsters we were hunting for but it was still another fantastic adventure with one of my oldest friends.
Here are the visuals :spiderman:

Wow Terry now thats a fishing report. It looks like you guys had fun and caught a lot of fish in all kinds of different structure. Its so cool that your friend came up and you could show him all over. Every time I am fishing or whatever and a reach copter goes by I wonder if you are in it. So I just wave to them all.  :smt006

Great visual aids!  :smt003 I've never fished around the K Bay area. Looks like some great dock structure. I take it there's a good spot pretty close to put in to access that area? Top notch report!

Nice report and pics, I dont know the lake at all but....

Drove through 20 on Sunday afternoon/evening and stopped at the Lucerne boat launch so the wife could feed the kid. It was a bit choppy but there were a few boats coming in and they said it was an OK bite. Wish I would have brought a rod though cause when we parked the wife forgot to turn the headlights off so we had an extra 45 min to kill. :smt010 (wasnt quite dark and they were on Auto)

I will fish it someday.
