I went to the secret lake this morning only to find three guys already there. Ravensblack, HOLY TOLEDO and otobepelagic. Had seen Craigs hookup the night before so I thought I would go down and meet them. It was a pleasure  to meet you guys. Then Juan shows up. Ended up with a mixed bag of smallies, large mouth and a nice crappie. Didnt fish much for stripers. The last pic I hope redeems some of Juans photogenic qualities he should stay away from the self portraits. :smt044

Wanted: new fishing buddy with good camera, his own truck, and poor fishing skillz.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Nope.....hehe

Wdwrkr, Nice finally putting a face to the name. Beautiful smallie you caught there!  It was a great day on the water even though the wind tried to push us off a couple times but we prevailed.

Juan, I missed you again. I have got to say though its always interesting meeting someone named Craig(cool scottish name you know).I caught one striper of a whole 23.5 inches in the afternoon as I was being blown towards the backwater across from the dam. I had my camera on digital macro from filming some roses the other day. The overall shot sucked but the up close one turned out ok. We met a guy named Lyle and ol' Lyle says. Baby brush hogs in watermelon candy color is the ticket for smallies. Lyle lives right down the road from the lake and he said he caught over 75 smallies last year. Quite the character old Lyle. Congrats on the fish boys. Adam is just amazing 7 for him to my 1 . :smt010 The old man Allen ain't bad either. Cigar smoke over the water reminds me of my Dad. Allen don't stop smoking them ok? If I closed my eyes I could just imagine how much fun my Dad would have had kayak fishing.

Congrats on the SMB fellas. I should stop chasing those halibut and get some  lake actions going here.

The first rule about Secret Lake is that you don't talk about Secret Lake.   :smt005  (and no, I have no clue where it is either)

WANTED:
Location of Secret Lake....

Looks like a great place!!!

If it is the lake I'm thinking of, think bam.

Michael

we are trying not to let the whole WWW Web know about it....the(few fish that are there) will not be able to live, after people lurk, read, catch and kill them.

Good on you wdwrkr, for keeping the secret lake a secret......and for hooking such a nice smallie...nice!!
