Got on the water at around 9ish. Surfhunter + Shannon were already headed in due to the wind.

Paddled out with shicken to keep an eye on two of his friends who had drifted out pretty far.  We caught up with them and shicken decided to hightail it in.  I kept an eye on them for a while then trolled around a bit with jedmo.  I personally thought the wind was blowing pretty good but wasnt really affecting the drift/troll.  I headed in after a while since I felt there were probably no fish interested due to the conditions.

met up with ron (another yakker) who came in due to the wind as well.  I wanted to go back out but decided not to and just had a shore lunch with some grilled man dogs from shicken.  he makes a mean dog!

We did see one pier fisherman bring a pretty good sized hali to their car.  probably 32-33".

agarcia was out there.  From what I hear he had quite the adventure.  I'll let him give the details if he's up to it and give his normal cohorts a chance to tease him =) although I was glad to hear that art ended up O.K. even though it was a bit of a scare.

Challenging conditions at least add some variety to our experiences on the water.  I'm glad everyone made it back to shore OK.   :smt001

If we had stayed at least an hour or so, perhaps we could have gotten lucky.
But, I'm sure glad that we called it a day and not pushed our limits. Better
safe than sorry I always say. There will be a next time.

It was good fishing with you Ben even though it was short.

Nice meeting you Ron, SurfHunter, and Shannon today. I hope to see you guys
on the water soon. Good luck again on your next trip.

Good call everyone.  Thanks for the report.

The weind blew us off the deep water channel at the port the other day too.  I was fine, but my partner had that look, like I am going to die today, on his face.  Waiting to go after butts in my yak, have not been in the ocean yet.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Great seeing everyone yesterday.  One word describes the day....Brutal.  Coming in, if you stopped paddling for a moment, you were back to were you began.  Good workout though.  :smt003

Good to hear everybody made it back OK.  Jed, which yak were you riding?  I may go to Del valle this afternoon to try out the sail kit on my Revo.  Conditions for fishing don't look too good the next couple of days.  Maybe a Butt hunt late in the week?
