Was that Gary??  WASSUP MAN!!!

You let us know how that goes, alright?!  I'm NOT going back there unless there is more than a ZERO chance of catching one of them Halibut! :smt044

I'm considering it. Lots of halibut being caught....supposedly.
Right now I'm split between freshwater (for AOTY points) and saltwater halibut.
Definitely fishing tomorrow but still not sure where. I'll probably just go to Pinto Lake and fish for bass+trout. Then maybe try the new discgolf course there.

Other options are:
-San Antonio (smallmouth, largemouth, stripers)
-Forebay (stripers and largemouth)
-ocean near MBK for halibut

But it is supposed to be windy tomorrow and Pinto is the least windy of those places. And it's the easiest too.

Right now is primetime at Pinto for bass. Lots of BIG bass in there too. But Andy just called and they said only do inspections the 1st wknd of the month or some crap. LAME!
So the list of options just got shorter. Hmmmm....3.5 hours from Monterey to New Melones....hmmmmm.

Pat, what do you mean they only do inspections at Pinto on the 1st Weekend of the Month?  Does this mean you can't launch other than the first weekend of do you get a free pass on the other 3?

Yeah, I guess they perform inspections the first wknd of the month, and if you pass you are OK for the month. It's foolproof....not.

Pat, I still don't understand.  Do you have to be inspected on the first weekend of the month to be able to fish there anytime or can you fish anytime but only be inspected if it is the first weekend?  What would happen if I showed up now (for the first time), would I be able to launch or would I be turned away?
