You are the POST MASTER!  I love to read your reports...they ROCKandROLL through all the details and excitement.

Congrats to all of those making the trip to the North and making those smallies feel the steel.  Nice work boys.

That trip looked like what I love best about kayak fishing -- exploring new places, hanging out with good friends, catching fish, and having an absolute blast!

I looked forward to this report and the pics to go with it.  Thanks guys!

Looking at the terrain around that lake I can see why it's such a great smallie lake  :smt007 Thanks for the insight to that lake. Always wanted to see what it looks like. Man just think low it's going to be come fall... :smt011 Sounds like you  guys had a great time up there. Were you guys towing minnows all the time or did you break out the artifitials? I'm surprized there were ticks down at the lake? Hate those things!... Freezing at night and toasty dayz. Sounds like classic early season in the mountains. Great report!

Nice report Adam I can almost hear Allen singing I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK I sleep all night and I Fish all day.

:smt044 Scary, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw that photo! I was gonna reference the Monty Python sketch but thought I'd better leave it alone - glad you didn't!  :smt005

Glad to hear you guys had a successful trip.  I buried my truck up there during deer season last year, 3 hours of digging and pulling with another 4x4 finall got it unstuck...brutal.

As all have said, bitchen underwater shots.  My camera took a dunk on Saturday, so I'm in the market for a new waterproof one.  What kind are you using?

it's the camera...al i do is point and click
the camera I use is a Pentex/ OptioW20(old second generation model) they have w40 now.......alot of NCKA'rs use the same, but only a couple had issues with them. Mine has been bulletproof for me....i never keep it bundled up with wet stuff and after being in salt, it gets rinsed&dried good......lots of options on it, but i leave it in auto and it does the rest for me....glad you like the pics. There are more in the Fishing Pics Section.

Thanks for the info, I'll see what I can dig up.

I'll keep a heads up on Trinity too, if things fire up I'll shoot around a message to see if anyone's game for another hook-up.

Adam, You must be congratulated! Anyone who can sit with two Leepins in a truck, side by side fishing and camping deserves a medal! Usually it takes only one of us a few hours to break someone down but you survived both of our  nonstop antics for three days....not a tear was shed, except for laughter. Everyone we ran into on our road trip were real friendly including the three KOA Camp  guys in there pickup who I asked "any good places to camp nearby? Their camp was no where near the water so they directed us to a nice little spot near the beach.
The fishing was just good enough to keep you trying but there were moments where you just couldn't help but think "I'm just not feeling it".....but that's when the scenery and serenity would fill in.
Beautiful pictures and story Adam. We hope the next ADVENTURE finds us traveling with you again.
