I was thinking about heading down that way this weekend, too. I was thinking Sunday, but if you're gonna be doing some surf launch practice, I might head down Sat, as that's one of my objectives as well.

I dont even know what size wetsuit I need.  I'm a bit of a chunker these days but only 5'7.

Saturday is the best day for me, Sunday would be "with permission" so it would be preferable to do Capitola on Sunday for a few hours so I can get a rental for the wifey.

I have no problem going out both days =)) so anyone who is up for saturday pipe up and let's figure out a launch!

I'm driving over there probably tomorrow morning/afternoon.

I probably have a wetsuit that will fit you.  give me a call in S cruz 831-251-9732

I am going to go out of Monterey on Sun. Thinking of launching out of the usual spot. Should we do A shore lunch? The usual spot is San Carlos Beach....Andy

Andy,
Sounds like a plan....... Al has a Sun. hook up thread going too. We should try to get there as early as possible because the parking fills up fast with all the divers doing their thing out of there. Andy let me know what you want me to bring to add to your feast plan.

Sounds good. See ya then. Do you have any squid so we can tip the hooks for bait and/or dabs if there is no Hali love? I am trying to get to Lion market today but may not make it.

thanks for the wetsuit info, i'll check out mbk when i get a chance.  a 3mil farmer john is about what i'm looking for - i dont plan to hit the ocean on any really cold days anyways.  just need to figure out the sizing thats why a store is probably best.

:smt044 ... Those really cold days are the ones that sneak up on ya...

Final decision for me is not to make the trek down there tomorrow - too much going on closer to home & need to do some chore-type stuff. Good luck to all down there.

I got some squid so we should be able to make bait AND score some dabs. Hali's are a bonus!

radio tuned to 69 might paddle towards the cement ship early...if weather holds i may consider re-entry practice in the early afternoon.
