No wind until noon. A few fish for us yakers were had.  ChuckE did what he do. 29.5", 9.5 Lb. Striper. Duane got the "big" flatty, coming in @ 8.5 Lbs.,27++". Mannaging to slip one on the clip early,a 26", 6.0 Lb., flatness; my day was very, very, nice. As usual I look forward to the ChuckE pix. 

  Oh, Ohh, yah hear that? That, that's the sound of, oh, wait, for it,the sound of AREAL BLANKING.  You just don't hear that sound much fishin with Areal.

Thanks for the report Dave. BTW, what was the bait of choice for today?

Wham!  Smack-talk!!  I guess that's where you got your name?  I'm sure Areal can take that...  As a matter of fact I'm counting on Areal being a driving force and instant tour-guide when he gets to the Cove.  I can tell that he's cut out for it.     So smack on, Relentless, 'cuz it'll only make my man Areal more determined.   

Oh, yeah, congrats on the flatties.   

Bastard! The smack talk continues. I was hearing on the radio all day and back at the launch. I ended up with a major SKUNK, not even a scratched bait.

Relentless its on for '09 dude. We'll see who gets the bigger hali!

I spent the day dogsitting a friend's puppy.  was quite a day for the little guy.  Kuma is his name.  Took him to meet Hojoman in fremont, quarry lakes, lunch with his aunt and uncle (my wife and I)...then took him over to ARW to meet up with the guys.  I was right on time and caught them as they were coming in.

ChuckE got 1 nice striper
Relentless and InsaneDuane got one nice hali each.

oh jed, by the way, the two halis were on live smelt and chuck's striper was on a live shiner.

Awesome day and not much boat traffic.  Slow day for me but good to see that fish were being caught.  Congrats guys!

I can tell you what bait not to use...sardine popsicles.  Serves me right for not making bait at midnight Friday night.

Good to get out for a paddle and prep for RF.  I found out that my battery pooped out after an hour.  Better to find out here than when I'm looking for structure.

Duane, I knew you smelt halis! Chuck.E Now thats a striper. Congrats. Fight good , did it? Relentless good for you on the halibut too. Ariel, you put more time in than almost anyone I know. Did you get your wetsuit back yet. I will show you a place where you will forget all about not catching anything on Saturday.
