I was visiting a friend at S. Lake Tahoe and we decided to see what the new Cabellas in Reno was all about.  All I can say is Wow!  If you are on Hiway 80, don't miss it, it is quite an experience.  We are all used to going to our best outfitter and seeing a Reel Case that is maybe 10' Long with maybe 50 or 100 Reels on display.  Here, try the level winds going 100 Feet (maybe 2-300 Reels on display) then on the other side 100 feet of Spinning Reels equally 100 feet (with an equal number of reels) on display.  Where we are used to 6 feet of plastic worm displays, there are 100 feet of worms that you never even believed existed.  The display of long guns probably went the length of a football field.  The Archery Department was larger than most of our homes.  The Display of  Animals and Live Fish Tanks kept you in complete "Awe".  If you are in the area, "Don"t Miss It".  The entertainment factor is at the top but, it is probably wise to leave your Credit Card at home.

Brian G and I passed it on our way back from Pyramid Lake.  IT was already late by that point, but I'm dying to check it out  - but like you said... dangerous for the wallet  :smt002

*Minor thread jack here*

I'm going to be purchasing the Eagle Cuda 350 and it will probably be from Cabela's.  Does anybody know if they have any deals/sales/coupons floating around right now?  Thanks!

Another place to check out is "Scheels" in Sparks. You can't miss it, it is the largest building in Sparks. And if you go to "Sportsman Warehouse" off of Moana Lane and 395 south in Reno, they too are a "GREAT' place to spend money. I like Cabelas very much, but if I find it there, I can go to the other places and get it for a lot less money. Which means more money to improve the WAF factor.  :smt003

My favorite "plastic worm" is the "chain-worm"....a plastic worm molded over a piece of metal chain to give it just the perfect amount of weight.

I can't find 'em anywhere anymore.

Maybe Cabella's has them.
D'u guys know of a source?

At Cabela's restaurant you can get elk, wild boar, bison, ostrich sandwiches.  Bison brawurst or venison brawurst.  I have only tried the elk and it was good.
