Alex and I are hitting pescadero or bean hollow tomorow morning, whichever site has a better launch.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

I'd rather hit the Bay and try to cash in on those 60 stripers that cpyak encountered - the best part it was that a majority of the fish were caught = casting ! Gotta love that  :smt007

Checked with alex and he's thinking the bay too.  We may just fish from the shore off 'the bulb' south of point isabel for sharks and whatnot.  Lantern, lawnchairs and lagers.  Hard to beat that.

I NEED a butt.  I scored some WAF so I got to use it or lose it.

Thinking hard about the stretch from Davenport to Bean Hollow.

I drove by bean hollow twice today and it would have been no prob launching in these swells. there was just light texture and wind on the water at 3pm. someone was even out off of pescadero. couldn't tell who though.

swell is way south.  190.  It has also dropped from 3.1 to 2.3 on the pt reyes spectrum, which is a big drop. sets might become more frequent as the period gets shorter tomorrow.

so just north of pigeon point (bean hollow) should be shielded from it. There is some annoying short period 320 windswell, but it is small.

pigeon point working in reverse!

davenport might have some swell that could shutdown the 'but bite, I have no idea how that works.  This whole year has been time-shifted a bit due to lack of NW winds. Does that mean the halibut will stick around a little longer this year? could be. they didn't get here until august 1. stu, maybe you'll have an opportunity through october? can't say about the WAF, but the halibut might stick around?

blakestah is forecasting NW coming through during the work week, maybe even on top of us w/ S winds and the like. we'll see.

Thanks for the info guys.
I'm going to try to launch Bean Hollow.  Will post a report later.
I'm no butt expert, but I've heard a south swell really puts the damper on those finicky eaters.
