Burried one of our own today

Vince, the pizza oven/kayak surfer guy from Elk who was always are best supporter got burried above the Cuffys Cove today after losing his battle with liver cancer.  He had a simple custom made casket with 3 sets of notches for paddle shafts in the bottom so it could get carried by six guys each holding a paddle blade.  It was old school...pine box, plank support, hand lowered by ropes and everyone took a turn with a shovel while crying their eyes out...I am exhausted and bummed.  He was a cool dude and magic on a surf ski.

Shake off the 'bummed', Bro.  How would Vince want you or any of us to feel.  Celebrate the Good Times you had with Vince, and take his lessons with you.

Gravity is heavy today.

Had a chance to work with Vince at Elk last year shuttling Pizzas and stoking the fire. Super nice guy as long as you didn't get sauce on the bottom of the Pizza. I told him the Girls in the kitchen prepping were calling him the  Pizza Nazi he thought that was too funny. Elk will never be the same without him. Thanks for all your support Vince. Didn't get a picture of him but did get a picture of his Pizzas they were the best I have ever had, simple but explosive flavor. My heart goes out to his Family and Friends.
