Left my house around 8am and stopped at the bait shop in Alameda to get some live baits but none available since someone from our group got the rest of the shiners early this morning  :smt003  Lucky I brought some squids along just in case...

Got to the boat ramp and saw a beautiful flat water condition!

Met Ariel and the guys on the water

You're getting good at yakker-shots, Sonny.  I'll look forward to the rest of the report.   :smt001

No one caught anything except I got 2 "mud Marlin" after everyone left the water and man they really can fight.  One of them even went air borne!  Anf the other bigger one gave me a 15 minute sleight ride  :smt003

how inconsiderate! that basturd! :smt003
I left two behind, didn't want to take the last ones. I got nothing to show for them, but a rashy-ass.... 2 days of drifting for nada.
It was good to be out fishing for fish that(sometimes) eat fish.
After three boring months of waiting for IT to find me, paddling around and dropping down on THEM was actually FUN!  getting out to ARW when the wind is not howling was a treat too.
Sonny~~that's a nice shot. looks like it's gonna take flight! at least you got your pole pulled.

It was a spectacular day to be on the bay...  Until the wind came later on...

Nice pics, Sonny, and good fishing with you all.

Russ got an undersized hali, didn't he?

I did and but nothing else for the rest of the day.

Good meeting you Sonny. That airborn bat ray is a great shot!

Good times again at ARW.

Thanks for the report and cool action shots of the ray Sonny.

It's good Russ that you had a least an under sized halibut. Better than not having
to catch anything at all. What did you used for bait and how was it rigged?

Yep. It was a fun way to start the hali huntin' season. I was drifting anchovies and using my home made stinger set up. Worked great.
