My son needed to get out and do a little fishing so we thought we would give Del Valle one more shoot before focusing on halibut. It was the first time for my son at Del Valle so thought I would give him the total lake tour, It was windy most of the day but sunny. We fished with mostly flies (wooly-buggers brown) we got several hits but only landed two fish, fun times.

Pics #1  my trout 4lb 21.25”
Pic #2 my sons last minute catch, non skunk for the day.

Nice going', Pat. Were you working the surface or using sinking line?

NICE report Pat!  Love that you were able to catch the fish that are not in that lake with flies!   :smt007  Just AWESOME!

Sweeet!!! I will have to bring my fly rod next time. PErsonally, I hate those sink lines. One last trip to DV in 2  weeks before rockfish mania. BTW, are you going to join us on big blue this year?

Pat

PM me when you want to hunt some rockies. We can do a couple of easy launches first. I have an extra wet suit that will fit you also.
