Only time i got in the water under those conditions is when i was pulling people out. Even in a sheltered place is there any vis?

Is safe enough to dive the north point at Ft Ross under extemely rough conditions. You won't die. Really. It will just be a meat run.

We'll said Craig.  Meat run it will be.  I have some entertaining to do on Firday night, but can pickup some Costco TriTip to BBQ if necessary as an alternate.

AbMan knows his limitations and has an strong and just respsect for the ocean.  More than that AbWoman and AbChild keep him out of the water when needed.  I don't know why but this typing about me in the third person is pretty funny.  :smt003

Vis will most likely suck.

I just bought a kayak and thats my first dive off the yak. I figure Casper beach should be a good safe for a rookie.

yeah, it's pretty safe, but you still can get in trouble out there.  We should be down there saturday morn.  You can PM me for exact times.  We might change or cancel depending on conditions.

those numbers don't look all that bad  Get out the rod/reel for rockies if bottom surge isn't too horrendous

just stay out of the way of big swell and be sure you do a good job tying up your yak

why would you fish from shore if you're carrying a yak?

Ab man sounds like he has a good ab woman who want ab man back after abbing.
My woman and kids would be real unhappy if i become fish bait.  :smt044

I am diving off the yak and polespear fishing. ya know let them swiming criters come a little to close and hit them full force with my three prong polespear hooks!!!!lol

Its hard for me to fish in the ocean when i can hunt them critters and not wait for a bite.

I took blue's comment as he meant to fish for them.  Fishing closes but yes diving is still open for rockies.

Dude if you want to go 180 ft and spear fish, go for it. I thought you were the one worried about a little surf action while abalone diving. Now you are OK with going 180 to spear fish???????
