Now you know what to look for underwater in the bay when fishing for sturgeon. Little underwater depressions the size of a creek. The Cunang brothers say this in their book also.

Did they survive?  Is it legal to "noodle" sturgeon?  Easy pickin's.

Most of these are white Sturgeons and some of them are 10 foot long!    If you like to read more about it then click on the link below:

There is a channel just like that down in Dumbarton which all the pier fisherman call the sturgeon hwy. They try to cast to it with their super long surf rods.

OAP is the same thing with all the channels that cut through there.

Ariel-Surgeon Hwy.  Is that referring to the deep shipping channel or somewhere else?

Lots of snags in the deep channel and near the end of the pier...unfortunately I know a little too well.

Yup that's the place. Lots of fish pulled out of there but a whole more snags though.

The guy furthest from the camera has one beached.  He must be trying to save them: carrying them, one-by-one, to the open water.  What a kind man.

no doubt the tide came in a few hours later and they all swam off.

Guess where I'm fishing this weekend ...
