Any one know where I can get live minnows in Santa Rosa? Want to go to Mendo but I want to be on the lake before 8 when Ron's opens. :poti
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Sleep in.  The fish haven't been out in the am until 9ish.  Be at Ron's at 0759.

Sean, have you ever had luck using a minnow trap for shad minnows at mendo? Be nice to have a bunch of live bait to go around. Flyline a live minnow and then toss lures ( if you have a two rod stamp )

Brian-I have tried, and to date I haven't done well at all.  You will definitely want live bait...for sure.  I always work bait and topwater on the same trip.  Get the 2 rod stamp.

I recall seeing a comment about the "two rod" stamp before.  Can I get it here in Monterey or is it only available at the lake?

Pat - most sporting goods stores and tackle shops should have 'em.

I got mine from Big 5 Sporting Goods....
