i am in the process of ordering some more Pad eyes and rivets from Hook1 today,  Question on the rivets, do you need to drill a small hole prior to installing the rivets, or is the rivet alone used with a blind rivet gun ok for going through the hull of the kayak?
Also, ordered the Eagle/Cuda 350 today.... :smt003

I always drill a hole and insert the rivet in, but that is me as I have an old manual rivet gun.

Must drill hole first.

2nd piece of advice is to drill one side/hole first. Then rivet that side in place. Then mark, drill and secure the other side. Pretty easy to have the two holes be off by just a bit if you drill them both first.

Is there any local shops that carry the rivets and guns?  I've had a hard time finding them locally.

I just use the manual rivet gun from home depot works just fine. As for the rivets....Aquan or Outback Adventures or order them on line. I have used regular alum. rivets with a washer for some simple installs. But you need access if you wanna place a washer on the inside.

I think I have a Home depot one, it has a swivel head, I like it because sometimes you can't get the whole thing in there.

So, the rivets from Hook1 are 3/16", do you drill a 3/16" hole or down size it one size for a really tight fit?

they are plenty tight with 3/16" you'll have to twist them in.
