The largest bass I've ever seen was in the same condition on Lake Sonoma a few years ago. Only difference was evidence of the crime scene was still there. She had a crappie about 3lbs wedged in her mouth!! The dorsal fin spikes were jammed in the basses mouth. Could swallow and couldn't spit it out.... The size of the crappie she was trying to swallow was amazing. I figured her to be around 12-15lbs. Way to bang em Bryan. I'm sure many more hogs will be visiting the dentist after your finished with em.... :smt002

I wonder if Fish and Game have any of their team members that would be interested in dissecting that dead fish?  Just a thought!

My dad suggested the same, but I never called it in.

Jedmo, yakaroo, and Danglin--I'll post another hook-up soon.

Good-luck out there boys (and girls).

Black, Black-n-blue, purple, junebug, bluefleck.  They were not picky.

Bryan,

You own the delta. I know guys in bass boats who don't produce the quantity and quality you do.

Two things: There's a guy on Westernbass in the classifieds who's dumping a bunch of crankbaits and there's a lot of them in delta colors.

Can you make the next outing a Friday, like maybe Good Friday? I have a half day and I'm already feeling "ill" that morning.

Congrats on the hog.

Wow!  As usual, great fish and great pictures.  I need to get out with you sometime soon and learn some of those "tricks".

Damn nice fish you caught there. Always a shame to see a dead fish in the size range but that's life/death. Great report. Thanks for sharing.

Great fish and its exciting to know what the gene pool looks like with the dead one.  As a longtime viewer I always check out your posts!  Anyhow,  I hope to be able to join you guys sometime if you schedule another group trip in the future!
