the trident was turned out by SBD.
i had pimped 4 kayaks before my new trident, they were easy, just screw and glue.  i had my boat for a month, i had mounted the forward rod holder but i was concerned about the big holes i would need to drill to accomodate my electonics into the new fangled trident.  so i hired a mofessional, sean.
this what we came up with.

Nice hanging with you Kingfisher!  We added four rear flushmounts and a 767 to Kingfishers yak.  The cables are suspended from the roof.  I came out very nice.  A word of caution...the 7 series are a TIGHT squeeze in the sonar shield, a 5 series fits much cleaner.  The 7 was however a very nice looking unit.

The only bitch I have about the rod hoder up by the FF is it's a big strech for me to get to the rod unless I'm straddling the boat. But I am only 5-10 so for a taller guy it might not matter. It loks great though. real clean. Good job.

i have really enjoyed paddling my trident recently.  i have been averaging 3.5 mph while trolling, which might be a bit fast.  i can get 5.5 while sprinting.  that forward rod holder may not be strong enough fot butt trolling, it needs more testing-i volunteer!
