Got to Shadow Cliffs around 715AM. Soon after finaegelin and jedmo arrived. Nice to meet other NCKA members who use PVC for rigging as much as me.  :smt005 Cool and somewaht windy with overcast skies. Water temp 55 degrees with good clarity, should be perfect for trout trolling.  :smt011 Launched first and headed south pulling a J7 firetiger and brook trout. The J7 brook trout got hit first just past the 2nd fishing pier. Pulled in a fiesty 14" rainbow which I released. Trolled another few minutes and bagged a skinny 15" bow which I kept because it was tail wrapped. Gave Jedmo some tips on trolling and headed north past the ramp. Close to the boat house hooked a nice 15" bow on the J7 firetiger. Switched the J7 brooke trout to a TDD7 rainbow trout at 10AM but no love.  :smt013 Headed home around 1130 with two 15" trout. Nice meeting jedmo and finaegelin. Sorry fishing wasn't better.  :smt012

Way to go Scott looks like you left your fishing buddy at home this time. Are you planning on fishing at Del-Valle on Saturday if so I will see you there.

Nice report and great pictures ! Brings back lots of OLD memories , lived in Ptown in  the early 70's , graduatting HS in 1974 . Shadow Cliffs and the pits behind them were my old stomping grounds , are the back pits still open to the public ?

WTG on the rainbows Scott. Thanks again for the invite and the tips of how to
fish with these J7 lures. Unfortunately, I came home empty handed again. I can't
believe how difficult it is to catch trout on the yak. I know I know newbie!
Frostrating because I saw quite a bit of limits from the bank fisherman on their
way home. It was nice fishing with you Scott and Andy. I hope to see you guys
again soon.

Very nice to meet you guys. Water was indeed nice and clear. I guess Scott found the 3 trout in the lake that wanted something other than powerbait. I would have tried longer, but the wind was picking up and it was getting pretty cold. Hoping for sun and calm next weekend.

Jedmo,
Let me know when you and Dave are ready to try San Pablo or Shadow Cliffs again, especially on a week day.  The water should be clear enough for another try at San Pablo.  I just bottled a new batch of "home brew" and I'll bring some along for the after catch celebration.

Pat -

Moly is recovering from her sterilization surgery but will be ready for DV next week. Will be there on Saturday and bringing a big pot of my killer chili for lunch and yes the "wild thing" will be with me. Funny thing is that without the dog on board, fishing was kind of boring and not quite as challenging.  :smt005

Jed -

Sorry the tips didn't work for you this time. I will post a detailed article on trout trolling in the fishing tips section in the next few weeks. Nice meeting you and Andy.

And for the hunter... the FISHonaDish picture. Pan fried trout with a beurre blanc sauce served with baby boc choy and shitake mushrooms. Mmmmmm  :smt003

You are da'Man!!  trolling, hooking and cooking wise, you're the best!!
Too bad the others got blanked, we all know that feeling, but more trolling time means more ???   :smt044  I don't know, but it started out sounding good.
Thanks for the port&FISHonaDish!!  :smt007
