Arrived at the launch late in the morning (March 8) to find the east delta water much muddier than two weeks ago...the weather was perfect though.  The warm sun even had a few beavers sunning themselves on their hut (pic 1).  There were three huge ones sitting there when I came by and got the photo.

There were a lot of bassers out this morning, all working the same area.  They all eventually left, so I had a nice peaceful afternoon.  I tossed my worm around tules and weeds in shallow water 3-6 feet deep and found a hot bite today...ended up with 11 bass, 5 in the 3-4 pound range, and the rest around 2 pounds.  The trick was to get the worm close to cover and let it sit for 5 to 20 seconds before moving it.  I was real patient, focused, and in the zone all afternoon.  The bites were very light, sometimes only a slight line twitch.  Once they were hooked, they all put up a great fight.

Here are a few of the better fish shots...and a shot of the muddy water (Tiki had at least a foot more viz).

Have a great week.

Nice fish. I'm glad you found the pattern. good to know the fish are biting and dirtier water. Hope to see you on the water soon.
